About me
My name is Connor Ludwin and I am a college student with a great appreciation for photography. I am based in Upstate New York, so the majority of my subject matter comes from here. Yes, believe it or not New York is pretty stunning at times. More often than not, I take photos when engaging in my hobbies. Some of which include: skiing, hiking, boating, rock climbing, camping and various other outdoor pursuits.
My photographic career began back when I was thirteen or fourteen, when I got my first digital camera for Christmas. I brought it with me everywhere and took photos of everything.
I was always thinking about how I could make ordinary things seem more interesting. My photographic creativity began to flourish. Then, I tried making my photos more visually appealing. By altering an image's characteristics I am able to bring out the best in each one. I can highlight the focus and simultaneously make less relevant features blend into the background.
As I got older, I began traveling more. Naturally, my camera came with me. I apply all that I have learned from instructors along with knowledge I have stumbled upon myself to each photo I take. I spend all kinds of time scrupulously editing each photo until I see it as complete.
My background is heavy in landscape photography, but I have recently entered the realm of portraiture. My style of portraits is very activity-based. By this I mean my images are more action shots and candids than they are planned and posed images. I like capturing people in the moment, when they aren't expecting a photo to be taken. I feel these are the photos that people want the most.
